STAIR CASE CIRCUIT
Objective:
To setup a staircase wiring using the given lamps, Controlled by switches.Theory:
In this wiring a single lamp is controlled from two places. For this purpose two numbers of two-way switches are used.
Apparatus:
Ø Two-way switch 2
Ø Lamp holder 1
Ø Lamp 1
Ø Shoe plug 1
Ø Sheet with three holes 1
Ø Box 7×4 inch 1
Ø Wire As need
Circuit Diagram:
In this diagram, the light is OFF; power goes to the 1st switch and along the upper strapper to the 2nd switch but no further. If the 1st switch is operated, power will get to the 2nd switch along the lower strapper if either of the switches is operated, the light will be ON, and then if either switch is operated the light will be OFF
Procedure:
Ø Collect the materials required for this experiment.
Ø Draw the layout of the given circuit diagram in the circuit board.
Ø Fix the necessary materials, by using drilling machine in the layout board.
Ø One end of the lamp holder is connected to neutral point and another point is connected at the center of the two-way switch B.
Ø The center of the switch A is connected to the phase line.
Ø The connection of the other two ends of two-way switch is connected as follows. The point 1 of switch A is connected to point 1 of switch B and point 2 of A is connected to 2 of
Ø B.
Ø The given lamp is fixed on the lamp holders.
Ø Controlling the switches, the circuit is checked and results are tabulated.
Result:
Thus the staircase wiring has been constructed, tested and the results are tabulated
